Literacy – basic skills in English and Mathematics in preparation for Upgrading

Upgrading – Adult Basic Education (two credits)  providing advanced skills in English, Mathematics and Computer in preparation for Grade 11

Grade 11 Math – Essential Mathematics 30S Grade 11 (one credit) including skills and functions for application in every day use

Grade 11 English – Transactional English 30S Grade 11 (one credit) focusing on cognition to increase information to make decisions based on knowledge

Grade 12 Math – Essential Mathematics 40S Grade 12 (one credit) including skills and functions for application in every day use

Grade 12 English – Transactional English 40S Grade 12 (one credit) focusing on cognition to increase information to make decisions based on knowledge

Grade 12 Biology – Biology 40S Grade 12 (one credit) presenting foundation and explanation of mechanisms of organisms

Grade 12 Law – Law 40S Grade 12 (one credit) introducing components of Canadian Law including critical thinking process and contemporary legal issues

Grade 12 Job Readiness – Job Readiness Training 40S Grade 12 (one credit) focusing on planning the future and aligning training and experience to career choice

Grade 12 Psychology – Psychology 40S Grade 12 (one credit) focusing on dealing with issues, solving problems, learning, nurturing healthy relationships, self understanding, relationships, and societal problems of drug dependency, aggression, and discrimination.

*Grade 12 Family Studies Family Studies 40S Grade 12 (one credit) explanation and analysis of theories of human behaviour relative to role explanations in relationships and individuals

**Grade 12 Wildlife Management – Wildlife Management 40S Grade 12 (one credit) focusing on understanding of wildlife, conservation, waste management, habitat and ecosystems

Credits required for a Manitoba Grade 12 Mature Diploma include:

            2 credits          ABE

            8 credits

There may be some opportunity for students to receive PLAR (Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition) credits once they meet with the Principal and determine if they meet the requirements.
